Dyersburg, TN - July 8, 2025 - Professionals, business owners, and managers looking to strengthen their communication and conflict resolution skills are invited to attend the upcoming “Navigating Difficult Conversations” workshop led by Merry Brown and hosted by The Mill Workspace.
Scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the session will take place at The Mill Workspace, located at 217 S. Mill Ave. in Dyersburg.
Brown is a writer, speaker, mediator, podcast host, and philosopher dedicated to guiding individuals and organizations through difficult conversations and conflicts. As the founder of Third Party Workplace Conflict Restoration Services LLC (3P), Brown is on a mission to train and empower employees and businesses to deal with conflict swiftly and justly, with a win/win restorative mindset that is committed to treating all people with dignity and respect.
In this session, Brown will explore the root causes of workplace conflict and why it often arises during periods of change or growth.
"We’ll look at what it really costs to avoid hard conversations, and how managed conflict is an opportunity for greater growth and success," said Brown.
"We’ll focus on three practical steps for having difficult conversations: simple, clear actions you can use to talk through issues instead of letting them fester. Whether it’s a partner, an employee, a customer, or anyone else, you’ll leave with tools to help you navigate conflict with less fear and more confidence. Conflict is normal and expected at work. Attendees will receive a copy of her latest book, "How to Be Unprofessional at Work: Tips to Ensure Failure", which offers a guide on what to avoid in the workplace, sparking insightful discussions on constructive alternatives. Brown is the host and producer of the international podcast “Conflict Managed”, where she discusses toxic work environments and how to address them.
