Dyersburg, TN - July 17, 2025 - Kylan Brooks, owner and operator of The Food Dispensary, hit the road with his food truck business in March 2025. For Brooks, stepping into self-employment was a leap outside his comfort zone—but one he felt was necessary to begin building a lasting legacy.
From the window of his truck, Brooks serves up a wide-ranging menu that includes quesadillas, nachos, melts, wings (wet and dry), burgers, and loaded fries. His love for cooking is evident in every dish. Careful attention is paid to preparation and seasoning. Customer favorites include the wings, chicken bacon ranch melts, burgers, and a lineup of flavored lemonades. As for his personal favorites? Brooks says the wings and the Chicken Philly are on the top of his list.
Based in Gibson County, The Food Dispensary is mobile and ready to serve customers wherever the demand takes them. Brooks said prioritizing customer service has been central to his success. He believes the friendly, helpful approach he and his staff, Emily Edmaiston and Tavarian Barnett, bring to every event has played a key role in the growth of his business.
For those considering a similar path, Brooks offers simple but powerful advice: believe in yourself, don’t get discouraged, and don’t give up. “Let your customers be your guide,” he added.

The Food Dispensary is one of many food truckers you can find on the Street Food Finder [SFF] app. SFF is an application designed to connect food lovers with their favorite food trucks.
