Dyersburg, TN - September 30, 2025 - The Mill Workspace recently participated in the “United Dyer County: Bringing Unity to the Community” resource fair, held at McIver’s Grant Public Library in downtown Dyersburg. The resource fair was co-hosted by United Way of West Tennessee and White & Associates Insurance.

The event began at 9 a.m. and continued through noon. It welcomed a large crowd, including nearly two dozen organizations representing business, technology, education, finance, community resources, and disaster aid.

Attendees spent the morning speaking with representatives from each organization and were treated to live music, popcorn, and face painting.

“We are so grateful for the overwhelming support of our Bringing Unity to the Community event,” said co-coordinator and Northwest Director of Donor Development Stefania Wheeler. “The turnout and enthusiasm from both participants and community partners truly showed the strength of what happens when people come together with a shared purpose.”

Co-coordinator Kathryn McGuire of White & Associates said it was a true honor and privilege to work with everyone and to see the birth and development of the event.

“The event was a vision of unity and partnership that derived from a house visit I had with a senior adult in Dyer County,” she explained. “She needed education and resources that could strengthen her health, wellness, and financial circumstances. We developed a plan of action to spread awareness for the sake of sustainable social, economic, and developmental growth to impact the community in the best ways possible.”

“Personally, I am truly overwhelmed by the dedication, leadership and countless volunteers who serve selflessly each day,” McGuire added. “Their efforts are nothing short of kingdom-worthy and as they minister to the community, they in fact make a difference. My prayer is that we as a community never lose sight of the greater cause and mission we are on this Earth for. Unity helps, unity heals and unity brings hope.”

The Mill Workspace engaged with community members throughout the morning. Community Manager Rachel Townsend was on site, providing information on upcoming workshops, cohorts, and additional resources for small business owners and solopreneurs.

“This event was an incredible opportunity for the community to learn more about the resources available to help,” shared Townsend. “I enjoyed spending the morning talking with individuals about their aspirations to start new businesses. Several attendees had already launched businesses but didn’t realize that local resources like those offered at The Mill were available to support them through learning curves.”

“It’s amazing how many resources we have here in Dyer County that residents simply don’t know exist,” she added. “Events like United Dyer County connect residents with resources in such a deliberate and meaningful way. I am grateful we have such an amazing network.”
