Marketing Specialist Elizabeth Pritchett shares strategies to help ramp up holiday sales for small businesses.

Humboldt, TN – October 10, 2025 - Local retailers gathered yesterday at the Humboldt Medical Center for the Holiday Marketing Workshop, presented by Elizabeth Pritchett and hosted by The Mill Workspace in partnership with the Greater Gibson County Chamber of Commerce, Humboldt Chamber of Commerce, and Milan Chamber of Commerce.

The interactive session focused on helping small business owners prepare for the busiest and most profitable time of year — the holiday season. Elizabeth Pritchett emphasized the importance of understanding why holiday marketing matters and encouraged attendees to look beyond products and promotions.

“Think about what service you’re really providing,” she told attendees. “What do your customers believe they get from you — and why should they come back?”

Pritchett challenged retailers to make doing business with them easier by simplifying customer experiences, improving communication, and ensuring every interaction builds trust. She also highlighted practical marketing habits such as:

  • Consistently asking for customer reviews
  • Creating content that’s real, raw, and relatable
  • Focusing on building lasting relationships over quick sales

She noted that fourth-quarter sales — during the holiday season — are typically 40% higher than average, making it a prime opportunity for small businesses to stand out with clear advertising.

The event wrapped up with an engaging Q&A and networking session.
